Chefs look just the ticket as Ilkley drinks venue launches a new partnership

Linford and Isaac

Ilkley based drinks venue ‘The Ticket Office’ has a new quality bar food menu thanks to a partnership with with two chefs who come with Michelin starred experience.

The food element of the partnership will be provided by new business, End of the Line, which is the brainchild of Linford Nicholson and Isaac Jager and utilises some of the boys inspiring culinary experience.

Nicholson trained at ‘The Fleece ‘in Addingham, and spent time at ‘The Craven Heifer’, also in the village, under Mark Owens, who is now Chef patron at ‘HOME’ Leeds – A 2 AA Rosette establishment.

Jager worked in a country hotel in Surrey before moving up to Yorkshire and working under two ‘Great British Menu’ contestants. They also both worked with Simon Gueller at ‘The Box Tree’ in Ilkley, a restaurant that has held 20 Michelin stars over the years.

The new menu will showcase premium ingredients from local suppliers wherever possible including The Loafer Bakery across the road, Wilkinson’s Butcher’s just around the corner and Keelham Farm Shop in Skipton, because the duo believes that fresh ingredients, such as vegetables and dairy, taste better when they are from the farm.

Nicholson said: “After the year we had twiddling our thumbs and our industry completely alienated from real life, it’s been a real blessing to get our teeth sunk into an opportunity as great as The Ticket Office. Now we just want everyone else to come down and see what we’re all about, and they can get their teeth sunk into our food!”

When asked to choose his favourite dish off the menu, Jager chose the Tomahawk Steak, explaining: “There’s something special about carving a perfectly cooked bit of meat off the bone” he also said that he felt like the Lobster Mac N Cheese is his signature dish as he is somewhat of a pasta enthusiast!

Other dishes to note off the menu include their Trio of Sliders – Black Treacle Sticky Brisket, Seared Honey and Glazed Pork Belly and Truffle Fried Chicken served with fries, as well as vegetarian and vegan options that feature their: Buddha Bowl – A feel good bowl of ever-changing locally sourced fresh vegetables, grains, and toasted seeds.

The chefs will extend their offerings to encompass some exciting plans for Bottomless Brunch, functions and Christmas – all coming soon. With future aspirations, one day, to receive their very own Michelin stars!

Ticket Office owner Adam Lewis said: “It’s very exciting to have two talented and experienced former Box Tree chefs who can match the quality of our team’s recognised expertise with cocktails and drinks, together with their fantastic knowledge of produce and cooking. I look forward to seeing Linford and Isaac showcase their culinary skills at The Ticket Office. “
