Relocation to revamped waterfront HQ for expanding business

Growing company, Rest Assured Funeral Plans, has chosen Brewery Wharf in Leeds for its new headquarters and has moved its team of 30 into a recently renovated 4,000 sq ft space at 4 Brewery Place.

Previously based on Armley Road in Leeds, the move comes on the back of a period of growth for the company, offering room for further expansion.

Thomas Loughran, chief executive, said: “Rest Assured has enjoyed consistent growth since we founded in 2017 and the move from Armley to Brewery Wharf means we will be able to move ahead with our ambitious growth plans.

“Brewery Wharf offered us more space, modern surroundings and it’s given us a renewed energy to take Rest Assured Funeral Plans through the next stage of its evolution.

“It’s not just about the office space, especially on the back of the pandemic which has underlined the importance of the working environment for our general wellbeing.

“The Wharf’s thriving community of SME and independent businesses here gives a welcome sense of community, and access to so much outdoor space on the banks of the River Aire adds something special to a Leeds city centre address and we’re glad and proud to be part of it.

“Our staff have been invigorated by the move here and the early signs are that the business is benefiting too.”

Developed by Leeds-based property investment company Rushbond PLC, Brewery Wharf is a multi-use development which has been praised for its high-quality design and public spaces.

Further investment in the waterfront community has been made with renovation of much of the office space, repurposing of units to create new offices and the advancement of plans to populate the public space with more pockets of greenery and additional seating.

Richard Baker, from Rushbond PLC, said: “Throughout the last year we have been setting the foundations for a new chapter at Brewery Wharf and we’re delighted Rest Assured has chosen to be a part of the community.

“As the original waterfront community in Leeds, Brewery Wharf offers so much in terms of wellbeing – the relaxing waterside, public space, greenery – all of which has become so important to businesses in the last 18 months.

“It’s an inspiring place to work and we look forward to welcoming even more businesses in the near future.”
