People: Irwin Mitchell; ASG Finance; E3 Recruitment; and more

The Sheffield office of law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed Ben Rogers as partner.

He will move to the Sheffield office as a transactional property partner, joining from DLA Piper.

Rogers acts for a diverse range of clients including developers, funders, insolvency practitioners, telecoms operators, leisure operators and landlords and tenants on a broad spectrum of matters including disposals and acquisitions of property, management of portfolios, site assembly and corporate support.

He has also acted for residential developers from small scale local developers to national house builders on a range of schemes including city centre apartments, mixed use, urban regeneration and out of town/ rural developments.

Rogers has worked for developers on commonhold estates, developments involving the creation of significant public realm and large-scale schemes.

His arrival coincides with the announcement that Stelios Coutsavlis will also be joining Irwin Mitchell’s Manchester office as a transactional property partner.

Both arrivals will take the number of property partners to 27 partners and 147 qualified lawyers.

The latest recruits follow the firm’s announcement of a 93% retention rate of newly qualified solicitors and the adoption of a Flexible by Choice policy, allowing all colleagues to work when and where they want, subject to client requirements.

Several other new partners have also been recruited in recent months, including Christine Thornley in tax, trusts and estates; Angela Jackman in public law and human rights and Danielle Parsons and Deborah Casale in employment, together with new senior associate hires nationwide.

Barnsley-based ASG Finance has welcomed its newest arrival – Ryan Lynn.

Joining as part of the secured lending team, his primary responsibility is to work alongside his colleagues to identify and secure lending and investment opportunities for ASG.

He brings with him a wealth of experience gained during a long and successful career in real estate, having won various internal awards and promotion to director during his time with his previous employer.

His innovative approach and keen eye for detail make him an instinctive problem-solver, while his knowledge of the industry and interpersonal skills allow him to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients across a range of sectors.

E3 Recruitment (E3R) has welcomed seven new individuals over the last month as it continues to invest and grow its teams.

The recruitment agency, which is headquartered in Lindley, Huddersfield, has eight sector teams focused upon the recruitment of engineering and manufacturing roles across all areas of operations within; Food & FMCG, Automotive & Fleet, Construction Materials & Modular, Chemical & Pharmaceutical, Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, and General Manufacturing.

Its Food & FMCG team has welcomed two new starters to strengthen its offering; Megan Hepworth has joined the team as a recruitment resourcer focusing on candidate attraction, reaching out to candidates, on behalf of food production companies to find the perfect match for their roles.

Kingsley Walker has joined as a recruitment consultant, who will concentrate on business development, ensuring E3R have full coverage throughout the food industry, developing both their temporary and permanent recruitment offering across the UK.

Two recruitment consultants have joined E3R’s Chemical & Pharmaceutical team; Austen Hudson and Richard Steadman.

The team has multiple contracts with multinational chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers, providing exclusive recruitment services hiring both temporary and permanent positions.

Both Hudson and Steadman will provide recruitment support for these accounts, with Steadman also working on developing relationships with new Chemical & Pharmaceutical clients across the UK and internationally.

E3R has also recruited Matthew Agus to the Construction Materials & Modular team and Thomas Chant to the Automotive and Fleet team.

Rochelle Crowther has joined the Operations Team as a recruitment and compliance administrator, who is responsible for data management, onboarding of candidates and compliance across the business.

Huddersfield-based content creation agency, Pikcells, has added five new members to its Interactive team, following a 25% increase in demand for online product configurators and bespoke 3D software over the last 12 months.

The jump in growth has in part been born after the company’s long-term R&D investment into online product configurators and bespoke 3D software.

The new appointments take the company to 27 staff, of which 10 focus solely on interactive projects, complementing other teams focusing on CG imaging and interior design.

Pikcells co-founder, Richard Benson, said: “We have experienced exceptional growth this year with a number of new client wins on top of our existing customers returning for repeat business.

“With more customers shopping online, we believe the demand for interactive software will only increase further in 2022.
