Green Jumper Day set to exceed expectations

Alec Walton, founder of Green Jumper

Over 1000 businesses, schools, universities, colleges, organisations have already signed up, the inaugural Green Jumper Day, with the event which looks to take action against climate change looking to exceed all expectations.

Green Jumper is the charity hosting Green Jumper Day which on the 26th November, this year, is asking everyone involved to turn down the heating, save energy, save money, and put on a woolly jumper to keep warm (a green one if possible), while donating to the charity.

The money raised will be spent on reforestation projects, and on providing free books and educational materials to schools, in order to support the next generation and help them inherit a planet worthy of inheritance.

Steve Trew, managing director of GreenZone Cleaning & Support Services, one of the headline sponsors of Green Jumper, said: “We are really proud to be involved with Green Jumper from the outset. When we first started dialogue, it was clear that the purpose and essence of Green Jumper Day was not only a wonderful initiative, but in true harmony with our business mission and ethics. In the wake of COP26, we know we all need to play our part in trying to mitigate climate change and as so many of us at GreenZone are parents, we truly appreciate the value and importance of educating the next generation on such key issues for the future of their planet.”

Alec Walton, the founder of the charity added: “It is thanks to businesses like GreenZone Cleaning and the thousands of people taking part in Green Jumper Day, that will allow us to achieve our goals, and plant as many trees and give away as many books as possible”
