PE firm acquires textile manufacturer

Textile manufacturer, Peter Jackson and Sons which trades as Jackson Textiles has been acquired by private equity firm Tioopo for an undisclosed sum.

The deal will see the Halifax-based business which was established in 1995 and has grown to become the market leader for its product ranges in the veterinary bedding sector, supported by the multi family PE firm as it continue to grow.

Philip Jackson, managing director of Jackson Textiles, said: “Over the last few years, we have built up a business which is committed to manufacturing quality products from our base here in West Yorkshire. The business has experienced exceptional growth in recent years with is a testament to the hard work of all of the staff here at Jackson Textiles”.

Peter Jackson and Sons was advised by international audit, tax and advisory firm Mazars with a team led by Leeds-based partner Alex Baskeyfield and supported by Jonathan Newton and Harry Radburn, while legal advice was provided by Jonathan Pollard and Olivia Brown of Ward Hadaway. DLA Piper provided legal advice to Tioopo Capital.
