Tech services company rescued from administration

A West Yorkshire technology services business has been bought out of administration.

Morley-based NewFox & Hollinbay has been acquired from administrator Begbies Traynor by a new firm – Bee IT Solutions. The deal was handled by David Arundel, partner at Gunnercooke.

NewFox & Hollinbay, which is based at Cliffe Park, went into administration on 1 December 2021. In response, Bee IT provided a buyout plan to retain a number of staff and honour customer commitments.

A spokesman for Bee IT said everyone at NewFox & Hollinbay was offered a job, though some of these staff have found work elsewhere. Eight people now remain at the company.

Founder of Bee IT Solutions, Adam Darwell, said: “Having previously been senior business development manager at NewFox & Hollinbay it seemed a natural solution to purchase the company out of administration, rebrand and drive the business forward under new ownership.

“Having the understanding of our customers we knew that with a core existing team and some new talent we could offer a powerful technology portfolio and a commitment to customer service.”

He added the deal would create an expanded, superior offering to both existing and new customers.

Bee IT has a dedicated team of specialists supporting both on premise and cloud systems. The firm works with leading IT technology providers and identifies, procures and supplies a range of IT Solutions as well as Voice & Mobile Telecoms.

It also offers cyber security penetration testing, consultancy and managed services for business.
