Buyout completed at translation and interpreting firm

Leeds-based language service provider Andiamo! has a new owner.

The translation and interpreting business is now fully owned by managing director Miranda Sambidge, who has been with the business since 1996 when she joined as a project manager.

The buyout from original owners Anne and Marc Woolmer aided by Azets, means Sambidge now has full control over the 33-year-old business, which translates material of all kinds into over 140 languages for a wide range of industries.

Sambridge said: “When I joined Andiamo! 26 years ago as a project manager, I never imagined I would one day be the owner.

“I stayed and developed the business because I love working with languages and working alongside like-minded linguists with a genuine passion for the industry.

“Caring about the service we provide and the clients whom we work for adds that extra dimension to the projects we deliver.

“I have big ambitions for Andiamo!, and we already have plans to expand our skills and customer base as the world opens up again.”

The company currently has a full-time team of seven in its Roundhay office. It uses a roster of almost 4,000 specialist linguists based across the globe which enables it to select the right language skills and all-important industry knowledge.
