A Leeds-based multi-service provider is furthering its expansion, opening its fourth office in the UK, and promoting its current business development manager to head this part of its operation.

Servo Group, which has its headquarters in Leeds and two further offices in London and Manchester, has targeted Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Teeside as prime areas for growth as part of its expansion plan.

Its new office, based in Darlington but covering the whole of the North East will be headed by current business development manager, Yasmine Hatton-Ashley.

Servo offers manned and dog guarding, rail labour, CCTV, construction services and facilities management to a host of national clients.

It has enjoyed fast, national growth since its inception eight years ago and is targeting a £20m turnover in the next 12 months.

As part of its advance into the North East, the business hopes to win some major, multi-year contracts which it predicts could create around 200 jobs in the region in the next two years.

Hatton-Ashley has been business development manager at Servo’s head office on Gelderd Road for over a year before being promoted to head the new office.

She has a strong background in construction and regeneration and prior to joining Servo she spent three years working for Elliott Group.

She said: “Sustainability is a crucial part of our business plan at Servo and we’re looking forward to becoming involved in some of the low carbon projects that are taking place in the North East region, not just through our security division but across all the sectors we work in – construction, facilities management, and rail labour.

“As a business, Servo has contributed massively to the local economy in other parts of the country, particularly Yorkshire through some major security and facilities management contracts, and the South East through our rail contracts.”

Servo has adapted its focus in recent years to achieve greater sustainability. The firm is working towards some key objectives, such as moving its entire fleet of company vehicles to electric within the next 12 months.
