Tech entrepreneur joins listed IT Group

Redcentric, the IT managed services provider offering cloud and data connectivity solutions which recently announced it was “poised for growth” has a new non executive director.

Alan Aubrey, a tech entrepreneur and experienced executive will join the Harrogate-based business from the announcement of its preliminary results for the year to 31 March 2022, which is expected to be 21 July.

Aubrey was the joint founder and chief executive of Techtran Group, the first company in Europe to offer a complete outsourced technology transfer function to universities and following Techtran acquisition by IP Group in 2005 he went on to serve as CEO of IP Group plc from 2006 to 2021.

Hailed a “legend” by some former colleagues in interviews, Aubrey brings a wealth of experience having served as non-executive chair of Ceres Power Holdings plc and Proactis Holdings plc and non-executive director in Avacta Group plc.

The qualified chartered accountant has has also served on the boards of several, large private companies was a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee for the Department of Business, Innovation, University and Skills – now the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) of the UK government.
