Award winning gaming bar unveil plans for city opening

The award winning gaming bar Roxy Ball Room which already has venues across the north in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds is expanding into Sheffield creating 45 new jobs.

The newest bar in the Roxy Leisure portfolio will be in the iconic Telephone House building which was previously The O2 Academy concert venue, and before that was once a ballroom dancing hall.

The 15,500 sq ft bar will offer several full-sized American Pool tables, ping pong, shuffleboard, basketball, and duckpin bowling as well as several high-tech private karaoke rooms.

The venue will also offer an American-style food menu of pizzas and mini bites and an extensive drinks list, which includes both classic and signature cocktails and 16 beers and craft ales.

Joel Mitchell, brand development and commercial manager for Roxy Leisure said: “After several years of success in some of the north’s most prolific cities, it was only a matter of time before Roxy found a home in Sheffield. The Telephone House venue is simply perfect, with plenty of room for our wealth of gaming options and a prime location in the heart of the city’s buzzing nightlife scene.”
