Hurdles overcome as manufacturer breaks into Canadian market

Leeds-based shower tray manufacturer, Just Trays (JT) has further expanded its operations into Canada.

Having invested heavily in research on North America, JT is working alongside a strategic partner to deliver quality and innovation to Canada’s shower tray market.

It has becomes the only UK exporter in the industry to break into Canada, with a tray specifically manufactured for the market.

This follows on from the business’s success in Europe and also means an additional 30 new roles within its Leeds factory and its dedicated global sales and contact centre division.

Paul Haigh, managing director, said: “Canada is an incredibly difficult market to break into from the UK, given the number of barriers, yet we’ve been lucky enough to secure certification through our partners.

“2022 has been a hugely successful year for us, both in the UK and through overseas exports, and this looks set to continue as we head across the Atlantic.

“It’s also fantastic for the local job market, as we look forward to growing our workforce – there’s certainly a lot to celebrate for JT.”
