Former office building to become student accommodation

International real estate advisor Savills, on behalf of Yorkshire Housing, has completed the sale of Dysons Chambers in Leeds city centre to Studious, a student housing developer, for £5m.

The former office building comprises 26,485 sq ft of space across four floors and will be redeveloped to create specialist student accommodation.

The property is in a prominent position on Lower Briggate, one of the city’s busiest streets.

Patrick Carter, office agency director at Savills Leeds, said: “We’re pleased to have completed this sale on behalf of Yorkshire Housing, which will see the property undergo a significant change of use.

“With its excellent city centre location, Dysons Chambers held strong appeal for developers and this sale will see prime student housing brought to one of the most central location in Leeds.”
