Andrew Jackson Solicitors has announced that Sarah Snow has joined its family law practice as a partner.

Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2008, Snow has specialised in family law and has a range of experience in dealing with divorce, separation and complex financial applications and private children applications. She has advised clients on pre and post nuptial agreements, separation agreements, cohabitation disputes, and financial matters relating specifically to children.

She has particular expertise across a wide range of issues arising in disputes involving children, including in child abduction and removal from the jurisdiction cases.

Ramsdens Solicitors has welcomed three new members of staff, strengthening its residential property practice and further developing its work in the niche area of leasehold enfranchisement.

The law firm, which has offices across West and North Yorkshire, has welcomed partner Katrina Allen and solicitors Elizabeth Kirk and Jennifer Crocker to Ramsdens’ York office.

Allen joins the team from Knights, where she helped managed the day-to-day running of the department. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2007, she has specialised in residential property and has a broad range of experience in dealing with all aspects of property transactions from sale, through to post-completion.

Kirk joins the team from Harrowells, where she qualified in 2020 as a conveyancing solicitor and Crocker joins the team from ODT Solicitors, having qualified in 2017 and specialising in statutory and voluntary lease extensions and freehold purchases, as well as other types of leasehold property matters.

Engineering, energy and sustainability consultancy Hydrock has announced Leeds-based Sia Taghaboni as technical director, providing national support to Hydrock’s civil and structural designers and consultants.

Taghaboni joins Hydrock from Fairhurst where he was technical manager of the structures team. With a MSc in International Construction Management and Engineering, his 20-year career to date has given him vast multidisciplinary experience in sectors including commercial, healthcare, industrial, residential and retail.

Taghaboni said: “It’s a privilege to be part of a forward-thinking multidisciplinary consultancy that deeply cares about its employees and clients. I look forward to working closely with my highly experienced colleagues, across all disciplines, embracing and fulfilling our mission to be a force for good in the world.”
