Corporate finance firm opts for innovation centre for its latest site
A national corporate finance company has bolstered its presence in the region in response to a “positive and active” local mergers and acquisitions market, by relocating to a new office in Sheffield’s UKSE Innovation Centre.
Following its joint venture with Hentons Chartered Accounts last year and boasting its own in-house corporate legal team, Hentons Corporate Finance offers business and advisory services to clients working across a myriad of sectors.
With offices already in Leeds, Hertford, Doncaster, York, Thirsk and London, the expansion to a seventh site follows a busy period of growth for the company. This includes the expansion of its team with the appointment of James Pridmore as corporate finance executive.
Hentons Corporate Finance director, Matthew Milnes, said the latest move was reflective of the firm’s ambitions to further cement its profile within South Yorkshire, and to capitalise on opportunities in the region.
The arrival of Hentons Corporate Finance means the Portobello Street, UKSE facility only has two units to let, with a number of other tech start-up companies and businesses already taking advantage of the site’s central location.
Milnes said: “We have seen a continued demand for corporate finance and legal services within the Sheffield Region and our unique combined structure allows us to support owner managed businesses all the way through a corporate transaction.
“Additionally, we have seen a sustained and significant demand from funders requiring financial due diligence with plenty of liquidity still available in the market.
“In order to capitalise on these opportunities, we wanted to expand our base in Sheffield City Centre that would meet the needs of the team. We chose the Innovation Centre because of its great amenities and central location.
“We have also worked with UKSE on numerous deals and know the team well. Their ethos and desire for helping local businesses align perfectly with ours.”
