Law firm renews sports law partnerships with three professional rugby teams

Yorkshire law firm, Chadwick Lawrence, has renewed its sports law sponsorship contracts with three of the region’s biggest names in rugby: Leeds Rhinos, Bradford Bulls and Wakefield Trinity professional rugby league clubs.

The firm acts as official legal partner for each club and continues to provide legal, regulatory and HR advice to each. The agreements also include a range of advertising and sponsorship for the firm.

Chadwick Lawrence has been official legal partners for Leeds Rhinos for 15 years. The renewed agreement includes advertising at the ground, hospitality at matches, match sponsorship and hosting an annual event together.

Leeds Rhinos commercial director, Rob Oates, said: “Chadwick Lawrence have been brilliant partners for many years, great advice from great people. We look forward to working with them for many years to come.”

The firm also renews its partnership with Bradford Bulls for another year, having sponsored this professional rugby league club since 2021.

As well as being its official legal partner, the firm sponsors home and away jerseys, hospitality at matches and match sponsorship.

Bradford Bulls commercial director, Ian Stafford, said: “We are happy to be partnering with Chadwick Lawrence again. The advice and support that we receive from them is invaluable.”

The firm has renewed its partnership with Wakefield Trinity RLFC for the ninth year running.

Chadwick Lawrence will once again be sponsoring the West Stand at the Be Well Support Stadium.

Michael Carter, chief executive of Wakefield Trinity, said: “We’re very glad to have the Chadwick Lawrence team supporting the club for another season.

“We’ve worked with the firm for several years in both a legal and sponsorship capacity and look forward to working together again in the future.”

Chadwick Lawrence managing partner, Neil Wilson, added: “We’ve once again partnered with Wakefield Trinity RLFC, Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos, and this signifies our ongoing commitment to supporting these sporting clubs as their official legal partners.

“We’ve forged strong relationships with the clubs and respective charity endeavours and, as one of the county’s leading experts in sports law, we’re proud to represent the clubs.”

The firm also continues to sponsor and support Huddersfield Town AFC, who it has partnered with since 2006.
