Historic Park House sold

A LANDMARK building in Leeds which was on the market for the first time in more than 25 years has sold for more than £2m.

Park House, an 18th century property facing Park Square, was sold by Greater Manchester Pension Fund to Stonebridge Projects, which intends to move its Leeds office to the building.

Stonebridge, a residential property development specialist, is a subsidiary of property and construction firm Henry Boot.

The 18,000 sq ft former wool mill is also home to a Pizza Express restaurant on the ground floor while other occupiers include Ryden and AIM Legal Expenses.

Richard Dunn of Sanderson Weatherall, acting for Greater Manchester Pension Fund, said: “This property is probably one of the best small investment opportunities to have become available in central Leeds this year. Its relatively quick sale is indicative of this.”

Dresler Smith acted for Stonebridge Projects.
