Open house wins reservations at residential development

An open house event in York last weekend has resulted in a number of reservations at the popular Regency Place development in Tockwith.
More than 25 interested buyers attended the event in Tockwith – spurred on by the offer of Stamp Duty Paid on selected plots.
The mix of four and five bedroom detached properties at Regency Place, developed by Leeds-based Evans Homes are expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Interest in the scheme has seen buyers coming from within a 50 mile radius of Tockwith, along with many travelling up from London. The guide price for the four bedroom homes start at £449,950 and agents believe that the appeal of village living and connectivity is contributing to the demand.
Anne Haggas, head of residential development sales at Savills in Yorkshire, and whose team is handling the sales at the scheme, comments: “We realise that finding the time to view properties can present logistical problems at the best of times, so we thought we’d make things as accessible and easy as possible by hosting this open house weekend ahead of the Bank Holiday, which resulted in five reservations alone.
“With the interest that there has been to date, we were confident that offering interested buyers a chance to have a look inside our two show homes and the stock properties which are ready for immediate occupation would result in a strengthened appetite to move and, from the reservations taken and enquiries we have had since, this has certainly been the case.
“It will come as no surprise to most, but North Yorkshire continues to be a popular area to relocate to with its excellent commuter links and proximity to public spaces and local amenities. It is a combination of these factors, coupled with the spacious accommodation, very good specification, and competitive pricing, that is underpinning a lot of the interest in Regency Place.”
