Cake and champagne bar unveiled at Harvey Nichols

Harvey Nichols Leeds has revealed its new Fourth Floor Bar.

It has a brand new menu and the store has given the venue a cake and champagne theme.

A selection of premium Champagnes, fine wines and carefully crafted cocktails will be on offer, complemented by a range of sweet treats. Mocktails, soft drinks and specialist teas and coffee will also be available.

Classic cakes such as Victoria Sponge and Lemon Meringue Tart have been given a contemporary twist, while the Vanilla and Red Velvet Cheesecake gives this American recipe an indulgent update.

Elsewhere on the menu, guests can enjoy Pistachio Eclair and Carrot and Walnut Cake with Vanilla Mascarpone.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, the bar sits alongside the Fourth Floor Brasserie restaurant.

Customers can expect exclusive one-off events, beauty demonstrations, masterclasses and wine and spirit exploration evenings.

Store manager Sally Lackey said: “We wanted to create a new space for customers to enjoy away from the bustling restaurant and shop floor.

“Our new concept brings together our favourite things perfectly and we can’t wait to reveal the upcoming events and takeovers coming this summer.”

Taking place at the bar this spring is the Sparkling Coronation Sweet Treat, where guests can raise a toast to celebrate Britain’s new monarch.

Available between Wednesday 19 April and Sunday 14 May, Harvey Nichols has teamed up with fine English wine experts Nyetimber for this event.

It will feature finger sandwiches and scones, all served with Nyetimber English Sparkling Wine.
