Dozens of family homes proposed for disused industrial land

Developer Swan Homes has unveiled proposals to invest £5m in building 39 family homes, extending its existing 23-home scheme at Finningley Court on Avro Way, on the edge of Doncaster.

The planned site for the homes is on brownfield land and the proposed development would support 50 full time local construction jobs.

Nathan Brough, managing director of Doncaster-based Swan Homes, said: “Our plans would support aspiring home owners in Doncaster to fulfil their aspirations. They would do this whilst protecting and enhancing the local environment, improving what is currently a disused industrial site.

“Doncaster is really going places, and this latest proposed multi-million pound investment shows how confident we are about the prospects for our home town.

“I am confident our proposals are in the interests of our community and look forward to working constructively with all stakeholders as we progress this exciting project to deliver much-needed new homes in Doncaster.”
