Rising demand for data destruction prompts specialist’s six-figure investment
A growing market for on-site data destruction has led to a South Yorkshire-headquartered company investing £250,000 in its shredding vehicle fleet.
S2S Group IT Asset Destruction, which has bases in Rotherham, London and Glasgow, has been providing data destruction services for more than 30 years.
Now, in collaboration with Ulster Shredders, a purpose-built dual shred mobile unit has been installed in a new 18-tonne vehicle.
The machine uses the latest technology to simultaneously destroy both hard and soft media types at volume.
Chris Hare, sales director at S2S Group said: “In recent months we have seen a growing demand for on-site media shredding.
“Many of our customers are now stipulating that their most sensitive data-bearing devices are destroyed and witnessed at their own locations.
“A further advantage of using our mobile service is the ease with which organisations can book our service. We can service any customer within the UK, provide individual certifications of destruction for each asset and then remove the shredded material from site with nothing going direct to landfill.”
As well as mobile shredding, S2S Group also offers a range of IT and mobile phone asset disposal options.
