First-class ticket for Yorkshire-made vodka

Masons of Yorkshire Distillery’s Classic Vodka will be the only vodka served on all first-class routes between Inverness and Aberdeen to London Kings Cross fo0llowing a partnership with LNER.

The Bedale-based distillery said travel retail is a major focus this year as it launches a marketing drive to promote the new partnership. It now has onboard listings for its products confirmed with TransPennine Express, and will have four products available in World Duty Free at Leeds-Bradford and Manchester Airports from summer.

Masons of Yorkshire, which marks its 10th anniversary in June, has won more than 125 international awards for its spirits.

Co-founder Karl Mason said, “We are particularly proud of this partnership and LNER is a great team to work with. No form of marketing beats liquid on lips and this first-class deal allows us to do this on a mass scale. Travel partnerships are going to be a huge focus for us into 2023 as staycations and travel in the UK booms. Cheers to that!”
