City shopping centre adds to its offering as latest arrivals snap up space

Two new retailers have signed up for leases at The Broadway shopping centre, in Bradford.

Pret A Manger and Warren James jewellers will be creating a total of 16 new jobs and have begun fitting out units in the centre.

Managers of The Broadway say they will continue negotiations with more prospective occupants to add to the centre’s portfolio before the end of the year.

Ian Ward, general manager, said: “As summer approaches, I’m pleased to be announcing that two new brands have signed leases that will be open by the autumn.

“Notably, The Broadway is continuing to attract new retailers to the city as we welcome Pret A Manger to Bradford.

“Ensuring that The Broadway brings fresh and exciting retailers to the city is a huge priority as the city gears up for the City of Culture 2025.

“With transformational plans underway all over the city, now is the time for Bradford to step up and really showcase what a dynamic city it is.”

Pret will create six jobs as it opens in a 2,529 sq ft unit on the corner of Charles Street and Market Street. The shop is set to open in July.

Warren James will take a 931 sq ft unit in the Charles Street Mall and will be creating 10 jobs.

The Broadway currently has more than 80 retail stores and more than 20 eateries, plus a six-screen cinema.
