New American-style chicken restaurant to launch at city venue

American-style restaurant Slim Chickens to open the doors to its new branch at Trinity Leeds at midday on 6 July.

The Arkansas-born eatery will launch its latest venue, following success in Manchester, London and Birmingham.

The fried chicken restaurant specialises in fresh, homemade Southern-inspired dishes, including hand-breaded buttermilk chicken tenders, fresh Buffalo wings and a range of 15 handmade dipping sauces, as well as a variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads and sides, plus vegetarian options.

Its new layout boasts large sports screens, as well as internal and external seating that can seat more than 100 diners, including two large double-sided kiosks.

Steven Foster, centre director at Trinity Leeds, said: “Arriving in Leeds with flavours straight from America, with a side of southern hospitality, we’re excited to welcome Slim Chickens to our ever-evolving offering at Trinity Leeds.

“We know its range of Southern-inspired dishes will prove extremely popular with our guests, and we can’t wait to try it out for ourselves.”

Satnam Leihal, CEO at Slim Chickens, said: “Trinity Leeds is set to be a prime location for us and we’re proud to be in the heart of the city in such a stunning setting.

“Our food is made fresh-to-order, offering an ideal pitstop for people in the city centre, with plenty of offers available via the Slim Chickens app, including 10% off for Blue Light Card holders, students, and Leeds United season ticket holders. We can’t wait to open our doors at Trinity Leeds.”
