Veterinary practice expands again with sixth site

A Leeds veterinary practice has opened its sixth branch in the city.

Beechwood Veterinary Group has refurbished 177 Kirkstall Lane in Headingley which is due to open in August.

Beechwood Vets Headingley will feature two consulting rooms for pet health checks, vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, and sick pet and emergency appointments.

The branch will also have an operating theatre, with the latest anaesthetic monitoring equipment, dental facilities including dental x-ray, ultrasonography and an in-house laboratory.

Clients bringing their pets for treatments and routine care will also benefit from having access to state-of-the-art facilities at Beechwood Vets’ Temple House practice in Seacroft and its large veterinary team, including staff with further qualifications in cardiology, surgery, medicine and dermatology.

Temple House opened in 2022 following a £1.4m investment and has seven consulting rooms, three operating theatres, a dedicated x-ray room, an ultrasound suite, and a dental theatre.

Beechwood Vets Headingley will be led by Becki Coverdale and Catarina Silva, and joins a well-established and trusted family of practices which also include Garforth, Chapel Allerton, Beeston and Crossgates.

Clinical director Louise Mallinson said: “This will be our sixth branch so it is a big milestone for Beechwood Vets, and it’s an exciting opportunity for the team. Headingley is a new area for us and there is demand for veterinary care in the area so this will be a great addition to our family of branches which have been a trusted part of the community for many years.”
