Brand poised to launch Britain’s largest bathroom and tile store

The UK’s biggest bathroom and tile store is set to open in Birstall on Thursday – 7 September.

Easy Bathrooms has transformed its former head office, warehouse, and showroom on Oakwell Way, into a 55,000 sq ft bathroom superstore, following weeks of renovation work and £200,000 worth of investment.

It follows the brand’s expansion and move into its new, purpose-built 330,000 sq ft HQ in Wakefield earlier this year.

The footprint of the Birstall showroom – which opened in 2017 – has now tripled in size.

With 300 fully tiled bays, it displays thousands of bathroom furniture, lighting, and heating products, while a third of the showroom is dedicated to outdoor living, including external tiles and dedicated installation products.

Outdoor furniture brand, 4 Seasons Outdoor, also has a concession within the store, displaying dining and lounge sets.

Founder of Easy Bathrooms, Craig Waddington, said: “We are proud to be opening the UK’s largest bathroom and tile store.

“In the last three years, we’ve invested a lot in new, on-trend product ranges, from ultra-large 1200m x 1200m tiles, to framed shower screens and clever bathroom lighting products.

“The new showroom means we can display most of our products in one place, making it a full experience, where homeowners can browse our products and design a bathroom with our 3D planner service.

“We are also investing in Virtual Reality technology, so customers can put a headset on and see how their bathroom layout works, and how the space looks, allowing them to make informed choices or changes.”

The store already has a strong trader client base, supplying thousands of plumbers, tilers, and fitters across West Yorkshire.

The renovation and expansion will provide even better customer service and an expanded product range for professional fitters, in a drive to grow the trade division of the brand.

The opening of the store is being marked with an event for traders on Thursday evening from 3pm to 8pm.

It will feature a DJ, BBQ, beers, games, Fix Radio – the radio station for builders – and a raffle raising money for children’s hospice, Forget Me Not. Traders and the public can sign up here.
