Mechanical engineering business advances overseas as it opens Danish base

A West Yorkshire mechanical engineering company is supporting the expansion of its export markets with the launch of a new office in Aarhus, Denmark.

Holmfirth-based Aqualand Industries says its Danish office will service the whole of Scandinavia and build on the company’s existing customer base in Finland.

The firm has been active in the design and manufacture of a range of mechanical engineering solutions, since the 1970s. More recently, it has expanded into designing products for the leisure market.

Greg Allsopp, director of Aqualand Industries, said: “Scandinavia is a key market for us. They have a thriving market for outdoor leisure activities with campsites, theme parks and nature reserves all offering family fun.

“We had a great response to the recent launch of our first pedal-powered cart at an international conference in Vienna.

“It underlined the appeal of our great product range and flexible ownership options to a global market. We are aiming for 2024 to be a record year for export growth.”

Aqualand Industries works with leisure destinations to help them drive additional revenue.

It offers leasing, full purchase or a mixture of both to provide operators with the flexibility they need to introduce its range of products. It also provides customers with product maintenance and servicing.
