Two’s company as brands invest in new industrial property
A 14,473 sq ft industrial unit in Goldthorpe, Rotherham, has been acquired to serve as a hub for both Welding Alloys and Premtech.
Welding Alloys, which offers a range of welding consumables, automated welding equipment and engineered wear products and services, acquired Premtech in late April 2023. Premtech provides wear-resistant solutions to steel and allied industries.
Premtech has started to migrate its operations to the Goldthorpe premises. This new base is expected to be highly beneficial for both businesses, as it offers a significantly larger shop floor, room to grow the workforce, and capacity to further develop the skills of current employees.
Simon Grant, managing director – Welding Alloys & Premtech, said: “I’m very excited by the purchase of the new facility.
“It will provide Welding Alloys and Premtech with the space to undertake larger projects and offer room for future expansion. 2024 will be an exciting year for both businesses.”
The move is predicted to be finalised by the end of June 2024. From then on the teams at both firms will be able to offer customers a range of wear-resistant products and services in industries, such as cement, mining, recycling, power generation, and steel making.
