Relocation puts advisory firm at heart of city’s professional community

Business advisory firm Dow Schofield Watts (DSW) has relocated to new offices in 6 Wellington Place, Leeds.

The DSW Corporate Finance and Transaction Services teams have worked with businesses across Yorkshire, Humber and North East regions since launching in 2012.

They have relocated from their long-term base in Thorpe Park, on the edge of the M1.

Roger Esler, who co-leads DSW’s Corporate Finance team, said: “Being in Leeds city centre puts us close to the professional community here as well as being convenient for our national funder network that tends to visit us by train.

“We will continue to invest significant time across the wider region and to work with businesses and professionals in other economic centres.

“The significant increase in deal activity in the last quarter of 2023 has continued into 2024, with the prospect of falling interest rates and a better economic climate having increased the confidence levels of business owners, buyers and funders.”

Recent deals for the Corporate Finance team include the MBO of engineering services business, Blackrow Group, the sales of IETG and 40SEVEN to SOCOTEC and the £10m investment by Mobeus in specialist IT recruitment consultancy, Ellis Recruitment Group.

The team expanded again in late 2023 with Harry Martin joining from PwC.

Meanwhile the Transaction Services team provided financial and tax due diligence on acquisitions by DJH Mitten (backed by Tenzing), APEM Group (backed by WestBridge Capital), Marsden Group (backed by Alcuin) Cranswick PLC, Succession Wealth and Bond International.
