Tyre wholesaler hits the road north of the border with fresh acquisition

North Yorkshire-based Bond International, a tyre wholesaler, has acquired Spring Distribution (Scotland) Ltd, along with its 200,000 sq ft warehouse in Scotland to support its ongoing growth ambitions.

Leeds-based law firm, Clarion, advised on the deal, along with three other acquisitions from Bond earlier in 2024.

Stepgrades Motor Accessories Ltd, trading as Viking Wholesale Tyres, and Birkenshaw Distributors Ltd were all acquired from Halfords Group earlier this year, as Bond partnered with Halfords to distribute tyres throughout its network.

The recent acquisition of Spring, and its 200,000 sq ft warehouse in Bathgate, will support Bond in servicing a large proportion of Scotland.

It means Bond will be able to deliver several times a day to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
