New programme of flights to Norway from Yorkshire takes off next month

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will begin a programme of flights and city breaks to Bergen, in Norway, from Leeds Bradford Airport in May.

It will be the first time that Leeds-headquartered Jet2 has operated to Bergen in over 15 years.

Over the next few weeks, the airline will be expanding its programme to Bergen even further, when its flights and city breaks also start operating in May from Manchester, Newcastle International and Birmingham Airport.

Customers are being offered a flight-only option with Jet2.com or a package holiday with Jet2CityBreaks.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are pleased to see our new programme of flights and city breaks to Bergen start operating from Manchester Airport and Newcastle International Airport.

“We also look forward to seeing our first flights depart from Leeds Bradford Airport and Birmingham Airport in the coming weeks.

“The addition of flights and packages to this jaw-dropping destination for spring 2024 gives customers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the beauty of the Fjords.

“Bergen is a stunning and vibrant city with something around every corner, and we expect this new programme to be extremely popular.”

Espen Willassen Hoel, route development director of Avinor Airports of Norway, added: “We are very excited to see Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks expand their presence in Bergen for spring 2024.

“This will allow even more visitors to experience and explore the beautiful landscapes and historic cities in the western part of Norway, including our world-famous fjords. Visiting Bergen and the Fjords in the Spring is a majestic bucket-list experience.”
