Yorkshire Business of the Year Awards: Sustainability in focus
Sustainability is an important part of modern business. The Yorkshire Business Awards will celebrate those firms who go above and beyond in their efforts to make sure they support green initiatives.
We’re looking for firms who take the circular economy seriously, who looks for ways to reduce their carbon footprints by using resources better, reducing waste, adopting renewable energy and implementing energy-efficient processes.
Or you may be tackling the climate crisis head on by developing new technologies or strategies to help individuals and other companies ensure their activities have minimal impact on the environment.
Last year’s winner was Camira, a Mirfield-based textiles group with sustainability principles woven into the fabric of the business with an impressive range of industry leading initiatives including a recent investment in textile reprocessing.
The Yorkshire Business Awards are sponsored by Tudor International Freight, RBC Brewin Dolphin, and Verlingue, with Campaigner as principal partner. Nominations close on 5 July, so download your entry forms and get them in soon.
Site visits to decide the shortlist will take place between 3 September and 22 November. Each shortlisted company will then be invited to give a presentation in Leeds in January 2025 to the judging panel who will select the category winners.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner at New Dock Hall on 20 February 2025.
