Global distributor snaps up more space at business park

Regional investor, Hillview Real Estate, has signed a third lease agreement with chemicals and ingredients distributor Brenntag for additional office and laboratory space at Lawnswood Business Park in Leeds.

Brenntag UK has taken 4,402 sq ft on the ground floor of Lawnswood House on a seven-year lease.

It will carry out an extensive fit-out which will include laboratory space. A year ago, the company took the 6,260 sq ft ground floor of Alexandra House on an eight-year lease to add to its 14,000 sq ft UK headquarters space at Alpha House. 

The further expansion by Brenntag at Lawnswood Business Park follows recent lease agreements with Lansinoh and First Actuarial. 

Lawnswood Business Park was acquired by Hillview Real Estate in December 2018 for Hillview Partners Property Fund II. It provides 150,000 sq ft of office accommodation.

Dom Ketteringham, asset manager at Hillview Real Estate, said: “This further expansion by Brenntag at Lawnswood Business Park, coming soon after lease renewals with Lansinoh and First Actuarial, reflects strong occupier demand for high-quality and strategically located workspace near Leeds city centre.”
