Sports brand agency scores King’s Award for Enterprise
Sports brand agency Works International Design (WORKS) has been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise during a ceremony at its Leeds headquarters.
WORKS received the award in the international trade category, which was presented by Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, Ed Anderson, on behalf of King Charles III.
Founded in 1989 by Roy and Karen Webber, WORKS specialises in branding solutions for global sports organisations.
Over the past 35 years, it has built a client list, including FIFA, FIBA, ISU, and UEFA, having contributed to more than 420 international events, 57 World Cups and 35 European finals.
Roy Webber said: ‘This is a very proud moment for Karen (Webber), myself and the whole team to achieve this award. We have come such a long way in the 35 years since the company began.
“It started with me producing graphics in the bedroom, using a decorating board rested on some milk grates to now employing over 25 people and working on FIFA World CupÔ, UEFA Champions LeagueÔand many more sporting events. The future looks very bright as we continue to develop and grow.”
