Office expansion at home technology business keeps pace with overseas growth
SharkNinja, a product design and technology manufacturer, has significantly expanded its Leeds office.
As part of SharkNinja’s growth in the UK and Europe, the company has taken over a much larger area of building 3150 at Thorpe Park, Century Way, near to the centre of Leeds.
Previously occupying two floors within the property, the firm’s expansion in the premises provides space for its growing Leeds workforce, which includes teams in Operations, IT & Infrastructure, Finance, Direct to Consumer, Marketing, People & Culture.
The new office space is designed to foster innovation and creativity. It features a wellbeing room, designed for prayer, mothers expressing milk, first aid treatment and more. There are also new kitchen facilities.
The company currently employs over 280 people at the Leeds office, which has grown by 186 since it was opened in 2019.
Tom Brown, president of SharkNinja EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) said: “Our Leeds office plays a crucial role in SharkNinja’s success across EMEA.
“This expansion reflects our significant growth in the region and the importance to our business of the immense talent pool here in Leeds.
“We are excited to create even more opportunities to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.”
SharkNinja is the company behind vacuum cleaner brand, Shark, and barbecue and air fryer brand, Ninja.
It recently launched over 20 new products, including the Ninja Luxe Café, an all-in-one espresso, filter coffee, and rapid cold brew maker.
The Leeds growth comes ahead of the expansion of SharkNinja’s EMEA headquarters at Battersea Power Station in London.
SharkNinja invited Kevin Sinfield, English rugby union coach and legendary former captain of Leeds Rhinos, to help the business celebrate its enlarged office space in Leeds.
Sinfield said: “In sport and in business, growth requires dedication and the right environment to thrive.
“It’s inspiring to see SharkNinja investing in their team here in Leeds, giving them the space and resources to achieve even greater things.”
