Regional director for Santander

SANTANDER Corporate Banking has appointed a new divisional managing director for the North.

Sue Douthwaite will take on the role after joining Santander from Royal Bank of Scotland where she was regional corporate banking director for Yorkshire and the North-East.

She said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this key role. Santander has a clear strategy of building its presence in the UK corporate banking market and we are passionate about supporting strong and viable businesses in the North.

“I have spent much of my career in corporate banking, with a lot of time spent in the North and I am confident that I can bring this experience and knowledge of the region to ensure Santander achieves its aim of becoming the SME bank of choice.”

Mrs Douthwaite, who has 25 years experience in banking, will be based in Leeds and Manchester as well as overseeing teams in Hull, Sheffield and Liverpool.
