Administrators look to sell portfolio of residential developments
Watling Real Estate has been instructed on behalf of joint administrators from Interpath to sell a portfolio of six residential development sites across Yorkshire that will deliver a further 167 new homes.
The three main sites in the portfolio are located in York, Leeds and Barnsley.
James Clark and Howard Smith from Interpath, the joint administrators of Scotfield Group Ltd, Yelcon Ltd and Camstead Ltd, trading as Camstead Homes, have appointed Watling’s Leeds office as the sole agents to bring the sites to market.
Rob Cruikshank, associate director of Watling, said: “This is an opportunity to acquire six residential sites which are in varying stages of completion. Offers for the whole portfolio or for individual sites will be considered.”
He said the York site is at Blackberry Walk in Derwenthorpe and includes the remaining 37 units of a 40-unit residential scheme.
He added: “Blackberry Walk forms phase five of the wider Derwenthorpe development. The scheme will provide a mix of three and four-bedroomed houses, with the remaining units at varying stages of completion.
“Nine units have the full brickwork complete, while 28 units have either partial brickwork complete or are built to a slab/foundation level.
“We expect to receive strong interest in the site from developers and housebuilders looking to capitalise on the works that have already been completed.”
The main Leeds site is at The Heath development off Dunstarn Lane in Adel and includes the remaining four units of a 43-unit residential scheme.
Cruikshank said: “The four remaining units are detached dwellings with four or five bedrooms, with two completed and two at first fix stage of construction. There are also outstanding external works required.”
The Barnsley site is at Chandlers Vale, off Wood Walk in Hoyland, and is an 8.9-acre development with consent for 77 houses and six apartments.
Cruikshank said: “The majority of this site has been cleared and remediation/earth works have commenced, allowing for a purchaser to immediately progress through the preliminary stages of the build out of the scheme.”
Offers are invited for the freehold of the six sites.
