First phase of £100m airport terminal expansion to complete this summer

Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) has published more details to showcase its £100m terminal expansion.
LBA promises a departure lounge which will feature enhanced seating areas and an improved retail and dining offering.
A new baggage reclaim area will be designed to streamline to arrivals process for travellers.
Also, an upgraded passport control area will incorporate cutting-edge security technology to ensure a smoother and more secure journey for all passengers.
LBA says that once complete, the terminal extension will complement its existing facilities, providing a “seamless” gateway to over 80 destinations.
The first phase of the regeneration project is scheduled for completion in summer 2025.
Following this milestone attention will shift to phase two, which focuses on redeveloping the existing terminal to further enhance the airport’s overall infrastructure.
