Food service supplier poised to grow 417-strong workforce as it relocates

A Bradford-based food service supplier is set for expansion with the support of a funding package from HSBC UK.

Delifresh has secured a credit facility to increase its operational capacity, reaching more customers across the UK.

As the business relocates to a new 80,000 sq ft facility in Bradford, due to be completed this month, the funding will support the complete fit out of the facility.

It will include a state-of-the-art pick and pack operation, energy efficient temperature controlled chilling systems, alongside an upgraded enterprise resource planning system to support improvements in productivity, quality and customer experience.

Delifresh, which was established in 2002, anticipates continued geographical growth resulting and a further increase in turnover over the next 12 months which will be supported by ongoing investment into its fleet alongside plans to grow its 417-strong workforce.

Currently, the business collaborates with restaurants, hotels and independent operators throughout the UK.

It says the additional funding will provide it with greater flexibility to respond to the needs of both suppliers and customers in the hospitality sector.

Richard Mostyn-Jones, managing director at Delifresh, said: “HSBC UK has been instrumental in supporting our growth.

“This funding allows us to further enhance our operational capabilities and expand our services, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our customers and suppliers effectively.”

Jeetesh Prajapati, global relationship director at HSBC UK, added: “Delifresh’s ambitious plans for growth demonstrate the potential of strategic investment.

“We are excited to support expansion of the business which will allow it to better serve its customers and create new job opportunities within the community.”
