Kennedys announce details of Sheffield move

LAW firm Kennedys has announced details of its new Sheffield office.

Terms have been agreed with Sheffield United chairman Kevin McCabe’s property group Scarborough Group International for Kennedys to take 16, 700 sq feet of office space over two floors at the flagship Sheffield Digital Campus – held in a joint venture company between Scarborough and national partners GMI Property Company.

The news comes in the wake of the recent announcement that Suzanne Liversidge will lead the Sheffield office of Kennedys.

Including Ms Liversidge, the firm has hired 11 partners, all from the Sheffield office of Halliwells.

Ms Liversidge will be joined by Judith Bloor, Helen Snowball, Cameron Clark, Niall Edwards, Greg Woods and Heidi Swale, Diarmuid Deeney, Steven Fennell, David Fearon and Andrew MacCuish.

Kennedys’ senior partner Nick Thomas said: “These are exciting and significant developments for Kennedys and Sheffield. We are delighted to be taking considerable office and conference facilities over two floors in the city’s newest landmark building and to have strengthened the team with which we boost our national coverage.”

James Poskitt, who heads up the development for the joint venture, said: “We are delighted that Kennedys have agreed a deal to be located in the Sheffield Digital Campus.

“They will be a great asset to the city and we look forward to a commercial relationship between GMI, Scarborough, Sheffield United and Kennedys blossoming.”
