Vehicle hire firm ready for expansion

A VEHICLE rental company is driving forward with its expansion plans after acquiring a new site.

Ready Rent a Car, which already has operations in Grimsby, Lincoln and Scunthorpe, has bought a site at Goulton Street in Hull.

The company specialises in supplying cars, vans, minibuses, lorries and commercial vehicles.

Nick Charnley of Ready Rent a Car said: “With a new financial structure in place we intend to be pro-active in taking advantage of the opportunities the current climate presents and I’m delighted that we have been able to secure this site to meet growing demand in Hull.”

The company now employs over 60 staff and plans to increase its coverage and create a new client base north of The Humber, capitalising on the renewable energy projects that are planned for the future.

The funding package was put together by Barclays Corporate director Dan Wilson.

He said: “It really is a pleasure to see a local company go from strength to strength and buck the current market trend.”
