WYG opens new headquarters

WYG, the Leeds-based multi-skilled consultancy, has marked another milestone in its restructuring with the opening of new headquarters.
The building consolidates three smaller offices with the aim of improving communications and efficient working by bringing the teams together under one roof.
Paul Hamer, chief executive of WYG, said: “We are extremely proud of our base in Leeds and the move to the new office is another fundamental building block that provides renewed confidence to our clients.”
Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West and Liberal Democrat shadow health minister officially opened the building.
In January, WYG shareholders approved a refinancing deal that secured the long-term future of the company.
The alternative would have meant their shares being worth nothing and the business, which was previously known as White Young Green, probably being placed into administration with the loss of 2,700 jobs.
The group has worked on major construction projects in Yorkshire including new stands at York Racecourse and Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s Headingley Carnegie ground.
