Property search firm launches in Yorkshire
GARRINGTON, the property search and buying adviser, has launched its first operation in Yorkshire after teaming up with a former developer.
Julian Rich will lead the regional service, which will operate in Yorkshire and the North East.
Garrington acts for clients across the UK and specialises in finding properties for prospective home buyers, often before they come onto the market.
It then manages the process of negotiation and purchase, with the aim of saving buyers time, stress and money.
Mr Rich, of Garrington North East, said: “The conventional model of estate agency was designed to suit the needs of people who had property to sell, rather than people searching for a specific property.
“Traditionally, buyers have been left to fend for themselves. As a property search consultancy, we solely represent the purchaser and we use our expertise to find properties that you wouldn’t see by simply trawling the internet or browsing estate agent windows.
“We identify the right property by taking into account the size and style of home wanted, commuting times, local school catchment areas and lifestyle considerations.
“We use a wide range of contacts and sources of property information to identify the most suitable properties for our clients’ needs. We then negotiate to get the best price for our clients – particularly important in the current climate where there is little stock and much competition for the best homes.”

Mr Rich has been involved in numerous property transactions and has developed more than 100 homes in the past 10 years.
Garrington was established by TV property expert Phil Spencer. Mr Spencer no longer has any involvement in the business.
