Capital move for AspinallVerdi
PROPERTY development and regeneration consultant AspinallVerdi is expanding with the launch of a London office and the move to larger offices in Yorkshire.
The consultants have appointed former CBRE director Parm Dosanjh as regional director to head up its office in the capital and to expand the business in the South of England and the Midlands.
AspinallVerdi, which is run by Ben Aspinall and Atam Verdi, has also increased the size of its office in Leeds.
Mr Dosanjh has worked on a number of high-profile regeneration projects, including Bracknell Town Centre; Martineau Galleries, Birmingham; and Southgate Shopping Centre, Bath.
The consultancy was launched in 2009 and it has helped to deliver projects, including the six hectare Victory Manufacturing Park in the Don Valley and Broad Street Plaza scheme in Halifax, both of which are now on site.
Mr Verdi said: “We are bucking the trend. Whereas the larger practices are merging and re-focusing back to ‘core’ agency, valuation and property management functions, AspinallVerdi remains firmly focused on development and regeneration consultancy.
“Having successfully established our northern office, we felt the time was right to expand into the south.
“We are optimistic about the future despite the current economic uncertainty. There are still many development and regeneration projects to be delivered and our business model of providing senior level consultancy from a low cost basis has proved attractive to both public and private sector clients,” he explained.
Commenting on Mr Dosanjh’s appointment, Mr Verdi said: “We are delighted to have attracted such a high profile and experienced director from a major international firm.
“He brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge with him, including the latest regeneration funding tools such as Tax Increment Finance where he advised Century Park adjacent to London Luton Airport.”
