Hermes expands depot network

HOME delivery firm Hermes has bought four new depots across the UK.

The Yorkshire based firm has acquired facilities in Bradford, Rotherham, Warrington and Crawley.

Hermes estates manager Adam Leach said he was “delighted” with the acquisition of the four sites on long lease agreements which form “a key part of our on-going strategic expansion programme.”

The new facilities are designed to help Hermes give a better service to its existing customers as well as giving it greater capacity to handle higher volumes during the Christmas period.

Hermes was advised on the deals by the commercial property team at law firm Gordons led by partner Paul Young.

He said: “Hermes is a genuine success story with the business growing substantially in the last year. These latest acquisitions will underpin its continued growth.”

Hermes’s clients include Next Directory and Redcats UK.
