Latest appointments: Hayes joins Bibby; Yorkshire Bank adds to team; and more

BUSINESS finance provider Bibby Financial Services has bolstered its construction finance team in Yorkshire and the North East by appointing Lee Hayes as business development manager for the region.
Mr Hayes, who will be based out of the company’s office in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, previously worked at Bank of Ireland for four years, providing high value investment deals to property developers within the region.
Previous to this, Mr Hayes worked for Bank of Scotland Corporate, HSBC and Halifax. Most recently, Mr Hayes worked for sports marketing company Blue Crocodile.
Mr Hayes said: “The recession has provided construction firms from across the region with a number of challenges. Access to finance remains a key concern for firms in the sector as they look to fund growth plans and take advantage of new business opportunities that may present themselves as the economy enters a period of recovery.
“Despite the problems encountered by the banking industry, invoice finance has remained fairly resilient. Small and medium-sized businesses within the construction industry can access the funds they need from finance providers such as Bibby Financial Services, which has the appetite to fund this sector when many of the banks are still cautious and provides a specialist finance package tailored specifically for construction firms.”
Bibby Financial Services provides finance to almost 3,500 businesses, handling annual client turnover of more than £3.2bn.
