Hainsworth exports protection expertise

HAINSWORTH is targeting fire services in Europe, Australia, the Middle East and the United States as it looks to expand its share of the global protective equipment market.

The Yorkshire-based textile manufacturer is launching a new international marketing and sales drive to build on its success in the UK.

The company is already supplying fire services in the West Midlands, London, Nottinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Devon and Somerset.

It has already attended the Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authorities Council conference in Sydney and will take part in the A&A Exhibition in Dusseldorf this month, as well as Intersec, Dubai, and the Fire Rescue East show in Florida in January.

Charlotte Brandt, sales Manager for Hainsworth Protectives, said: “We will be taking three core messages to each of these events to demonstrate to firefighters around the globe why our unique patented fabrics continue to set the benchmark within the protective fabrics industry.

“Hainsworth protective fabrics deliver design that saves; protection that shows; and quality that lasts. Our fabrics have been specifically designed for every situation – from everyday wear to high-risk flashovers. However, one of the most important aspects for us is the protection our fabrics give firefighters against heat stress – the biggest global threat to firefighter health and safety.

“We understand that managing heat stress is about more than just flashovers and have ensured that our fabrics are highly breathable allowing firefighters to perform at their best whatever the situation.”
