Entrepreneurs launch ‘one stop shop’ for iPhone apps

TWO entrepreneurs from Wakefield have set up a company offering businesses a ‘one stop shop’ for iPhone apps.
Juicy Moon, founded by Kerry Ridge – the former owner of renowned Leeds bar Indie Joze – and Mark Chamberlain, a former technical design consultant at Sun Microsystems, offers clients a rapid development and route to market to get their iPhone/iPod touch application ready and in the Apple App Store quickly.
The company will build, test, and submit the applications to Apple for approval. Once it has been approved it will appear in the App Store alongside the thousands of other applications available.
As a special launch price, Juicy Moon is offering the entire package for £695.
Mr Chamberlain said: “Once the application has been approved, you can then put direct links to the app on the App Store into your website and digital promotion tools.
“Our flexible architecture means that you can update all the content contained within the application yourself, without the need for any knowledge of iPhone programming; all content update is done on your own content management system. The CMS itself is designed as a ‘tree’, with up to five levels of details to drill down into, each level having as many sub-categories as you like.
“All your final product details can have associated images and YouTube videos embedded in them.”
The company has already provided the service for a number of high profile businesses, including Rybrook MINI & BMW groups, the Victoria Quarter in Leeds and shoe brand Nicholas Deakins.
Mr Ridge said: “We aim to take the all the hassle out of the building and application process by offering a tailored, off the peg mobile marketing solution for businesses. Companies can reach out to everyone who has downloaded their application with integrated flash messaging and push notifications.
“Flexibility and affordability was one of our key design features and each business’s application is designed around today’s business needs.”
