Positive response for clean fuel pioneers
ITM Power, the energy storage and green fuel company, has launched its first electrolyser product range at the Hannover Messe in Germany and the US National Hydrogen Association conference and trade show in Long Beach, California.
The products are designed for a range of applications from laboratory-based analytical systems through soldering and joining to clean fuel provision for hydrogen powered vehicles.
Each product has been designed to be simple to use and to require a minimum of maintenance.
Sheffield-based ITM said that the ‘overwhelmingly’ positive feedback from private meetings and the hydrogen and renewable energy community is taken as evidence that the products launched are of a specification relevant to existing and growing market opportunities.
The success endorses ITM Power’s pursuit of CE accreditation for this initial product range.
At the Hannover Messe a number of endorsements were received from large and established businesses, in particular concerning the engineering quality and effective transition from a new technology provider to product supplier.
At the NHA conference in California, ITM said it was clear that hydrogen refuelling at both a domestic and commercial scale was recognised as an important and inevitable progression towards wider adoption of hydrogen fuel.
