LSL continues spending spree

LSL Property Services, the estate agency and surveying group, has bought rival Goodfellows Group for almost £1m as it continues its acquisition strategy.

York-based LSL has paid £963,968 in cash for the estate agency, land and new home and lettings business of Goodfellows.

Goodfellows has nine offices in South London.

The purchase follows LSL’s acquisition of mortgage network provider Home of Choice for £1.5m last month.

LSL became Britain’s second largest estate agency chain after completing the purchase of Halifax Estate Agencies in January.

HoC is a multi-tied specialist mortgage network provider to around 500 self employed mortgage advisers.

In April, LSL said trading over its first quarter had improved and that it was on target for growth.
