Octopus expands Yorkshire office
OCTOPUS Private Equity has appointed Mark Fowler as investment manager at its Yorkshire office.
He will be based in Leeds with Richard Taylor, where he will be focused on investment opportunities in the North of England.
Prior to joining Octopus, Mr Fowler spent eight years in lead advisory corporate finance with KPMG in Manchester.
During this time he worked on a range of mid-market transactions including fundraisings, MBOs, MBIs, business and corporate disposals, and corporate acquisitions.
He has experience of acting for a range of clients including private equity houses, public companies, private companies and private company shareholders.
Mr Fowler graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc (Hons) in Business, is a qualified chartered accountant and has a Diploma in Corporate Finance from the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Octopus, which invests in the lower mid market and has its head office in London, opened its Leeds office last year, recuiting Richard Taylor from YFM Group to head it up.
Mr Taylor, said: “We are delighted that Mark has joined us in our Northern office. Mark is well known in the Manchester corporate finance community and his appointment strengthens our dedicated team focussed on investment opportunities across the North of England.”
